Meet Your Instructors

Brandi Felderhoff, PhD, LCSW-S, APHSW-C and Jenn Barton, LCSW-S, APHSW-C are both Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Workers with deep roots in Texas hospice practice. Brandi is an Associate Professor at Texas Woman's University, where she serves as Coordinator of the MSW Program and works as a clinical social work supervisor. Jenn is a hospice and palliative care social worker at Merit Hospice and an adjunct professor at TWU. Together, they've spent years teaching, supervising, and showing up at the bedside, which means they know advance directives the way frontline clinicians need to know them: not just as forms on a website, but as the documents that shape some of the hardest conversations in healthcare.
